In preparation for the summer and upcoming holiday, you’ve been working hard at the gym toning your arms, legs and abs—but what about your skin? The good news is that achieving a party-ready complexion isn’t as hard as you think. Using a few skin care products—and some clever tricks—allows you to achieve the skin of your dreams this summer.

Step 1: Exfoliate!

Exfoliating dull winter skin is the key to achieving adesirable summer glow. This will help a variety of skin issues starting with an increase in blood circulation which in turn helps you to achieve healthy and radiant skin. There are a couple of routes to take here, depending on your preference and skin type.

There are a lot of acid-based exfoliates to choose from: glycolic acid for almost all skin types; salicylic acid for acne-prone skin; trichloroacetic acid for anti-aging; and lactic acid or malic acid for sensitive skin types. Keep in mind that the goal of exfoliation is to cleanse and soften the skin, not to irritate- so be gentle!

Step 2: Moisturize

A solid moisturizing routine can do so many beneficial things for your complexion! Once you’ve properly exfoliated, slather on your favorite go-to serum and moisturizer. The Seratopical Day & Night Brilliance does a great job moisturizing and hydrating your skin. It utilizes a high concentration of active ingredients, peptides, and CBD, which may help remove age spots and uneven skin tones and may help improve skin texture and elasticity of the skin. In addition to using skincare products, make sure you drink plenty of water and eat plenty of fruits and veggies to support your body as well.

Step 3: Go Waterproof

Eyelashes are tiny hairs, so keep them well-nourished and free of smears by using waterproof mascara that is enriched with good-for-you oils. Avoid those awful under-eye smudges by not applying mascara on your lower lashes: oils and sweat may collect under there, and this could lead to “panda eyes” (we don’t want that, right?).

STEP 3: Bronze

A subtle bronze glow creates a youthful, slimming look that works on virtually any skin tone. To give the bronzer a more radiant glow, add some sparkle! Once the bronzer is set, take your favorite highlighter, to the tops of your cheekbones up to the tip of the occipital bone. Next, add small touches of the sparkly ingredient down your nose and in the middle of your chin, where the light will reflect to create the ultimate glow.

          Step 4: Hydrating Mist

Since you’ll probably be hanging outdoors all day, your dewy complexion might quickly turn into a sweaty mess. To avoid looking like you just got back from running a half marathon (when really, you just walked to the fridge and back, thanks summer heat!), keep a small hydrating mist in your bag for quick spritzes to help cool off and refresh your look throughout the day.

          Step 5: Have Fun

Remember to let loose! Dance, play, laugh, be yourself and drink plenty of water!
